You may have noticed a new shed-like building outside of the library, under the small tent — that’s the Falls Village Abundance Stand! It is a place for home gardeners to share their produce and flowers with neighbors who will appreciate it. Have a glut of cukes? Drop some off. Too much mint? Plop it in one of the jars. We even have a fridge for things that need to stay cold.
People should take anything they like, regardless of whether or not they drop something off. There is no need-based requirement — the Abundance Stand is based in the spirit of neighborly reciprocity and joy. We only ask that you use (or enjoy the beauty of) whatever you take from the stand.
If you have extra vegetables, fruits or flowers you'd be willing to share with the community, we encourage you to bring them to the Abundance Stand throughout the season. We're excited to offer a spot for our community to share the fruits of their labors, which are often more than one family can eat!
The stand is self-serve and open 24/7 during the growing season.
