The Falls Village Children’s Theater is excited to announce our spring 2026 production….

Mary Poppins Jr!

Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Cameron Mackintosh and Disney's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."

Production Information

Registration opens Saturday, Dec. 20 at 10 am for Lee H. Kellogg students only and general registration starts Monday Dec. 22 at 10 am.

We welcome children in 1st through 8th grades.

We are offering participation for children in two ways, acting (30 max) or tech squad (10 max).

Tech Squad will be in charge of building the sets, running lights, and other production tasks needed. Great for kids who want to be a part of the show while being off-stage

Auditions:  Jan. 10, 1-3:30, details to follow.

Acting meets: Fridays 3:45-5:30 and Saturdays 1-4.

Tech Squad meets: Sundays 1-2:30 starting Feb. 8.

BOTH Acting and Tech Squad need to attend every day of Tech Week, which is the week leading up to the performance. After school, times TBD.

*All participants will not necessarily be called for every rehearsal. Some rehearsals will be broken up into sectionals and we will post the schedule online after auditions.  Kids should only come to rehearsals they're signed up for.  We cannot providing general daycare for those not on the list that day. It is our expectation that you check rehearsal schedule and make sure you know when your child is supposed to attend. Thank you!

Saturday March 28 at 2pm

Saturday March 28 at 5pm

60 minute show

All at the Center on Main - 103 Main Street, Falls Village, CT

Cost is sliding scale:

Acting: $150-$300* per child (pay what you can)

Tech Squad: $100-$200* per child (pay what you can)

*Actors will generally meet more than Tech Squad, which is why there is a difference in price.
